What is a CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a direct, food-share partnership between you and the farmer. This model allows consumers to have an active stake in the farm and to help them know the where, who and how of their food!

The CSA model also allows farmers to have reliable income at an important time of the year when we are ordering seeds, building infrastructure, and improving our tools and production practices.

Participating in a CSA means purchasing a share in the farm for the season.

What’s in a share, exactly?

The share takes the form of a box of vegetables and culinary herbs provided every week running from mid-May through mid-October. Shares vary weekly depending on what’s being harvested.

We offer the CSA share to give our neighbors the option to buy our produce at a wholesale price instead of the retail prices found at market.

Your share will be a reflection of our farm: we grow over 60 different crops and varieties, carefully chosen for taste, nutrition, and quality.

Everything that we grow is pesticide-free and local – right here in Fort Collins.

Some photos of different weekly shares from 2018 can be found on our social media pages:

How much will this cost?

The share is $475 for the 2019 season.

This comes to about $20/week (a $25 – $30 retail value) and includes several convenient pickup options after our harvest each week.

How do I get my share?

Shares can be picked up weekly at one of the following locations:

  • At the Farm: Fridays between 4pm – 7pm
  • At Fort Collins Country Club: Friday between 5PM – 8PM at 1920 Country Club Road, Fort Collins, CO 80524. (For the folks that choose Country Club pickup, you must stick with this location for the season.)
  • At Maxline Brewing: Friday between 5PM – 9:30PM at 2724 McClelland Dr #190 off Drake & College. (For the folks that choose Maxline pickup, you must stick with this location for the season.)
  • At the the Larimer County Farmers Market in Old Town: Saturday mornings between 8am to Noon.

**Please note**
The Friday at the Farm and Saturday at Market pickup options are interchangeable. We will have your share either way at those locations for you to pickup on a given week! The Country Club and Maxline options are NOT interchangeable.

I want to do this, but affordability is an issue for me…

Great news! We are proud to accept SNAP/EBT benefits and have grant funding to match 50% of the total share cost for SNAP recipients. This brings the share price to $234.50 which can be paid with EBT benefits on a weekly basis.

Individuals or families paying with this method may pay what they can throughout the year.

We also partner with The Vegetable Connection to provide qualifying families with subsidized shares.

Their mission is to improve Larimer County’s food resilience by supporting families in need through food education and assisting with access to locally grown food from our partner farms! Click the logo below to visit their site and learn more.
